ABOUT The XL is technically and sonically like the R3 but without Sequencer.
Basically this is a Radias with 2 timbres, simplified user interface (less knobs) and better size (3 octaves!) but less sequencers.. the mod sequencer is still in..

ABOUT Der Microkorg XL entspricht in Synthese und Klang sehr dem R3 / Radias, jedoch ohne Sequencer.
Eigentlich ein kleiner Radias, technisch fast identisch bis auf den Sequencer und die Tastatur und natürlich Oberfläche.

DETAILS midi-syncable and fast LFOs (100 Hz) and 3 Envs, it has a Delay on board and a vocoder with synth to be used as carrier. also the voice wave mode hold the vowel you sing and "freezes" - Digital Waves from the DW8000 filled plus PCM waves can be switched by the sequencer to get a wavetable-like effect. all parameters can be midi controlled (midi CCs) and every parameter can be set to be controlled by any CC. nice distortion on filter, FM.. filter 1 morphable through the filter types, 2 more modslots=6 max (compared to the ms2000). it's also a Vocoder (16 Band). so it is a real followup to the ms2000/b, the seq lines can be chained to get 64 steps, the vocoder allows 16 phrases of 7.5 secs to be recorded and played. Well the Sequencer is not here, but the motion sequence (modulation sequencer with 16 steps) is in here.. One 16step Modsequencer per Timbre (not 3 as in Radias)

DETAILS schnelle LFOs (100Hz) und 3 ENVs, auch midi-syncbar, Delay, Verzerrung für Filter, 4 modmatrix möglichkeit, auch PCM Waves, (davon 16 aus dem Korg DW8000 DWGS System plus Samples (ROM)) die mit dem Sequencer umgeschaltet werden können - so kann man Wavetable-artige Klänge erzeugen. vocalähnliche waves als OSC wellen gibts auch, man kann sie durch einsprechen auch vom mikro einsingen und "festhalten". Der Sequencer ist einer der besten Live-Sequencer für Performance und kann 3 "Lines" unabhängig modulieren. Im r3 etwas abgespeckt, es gibt "nur" die Motion Sequenzen. Der Vocoder-Mode hat auch einen kleinen Synthesizer für Trägersounds mit an Bord. jeder parameter kann einem Midi-Controller zugewiesen werden (frei!), filter 1 morphbar durch die filtertypen auch vom sequencer aus.. Modmatrix kriegt noch 2 dazu (verglichen mit ms2000) = 6. Alternativ: Vocoder 16 Band. man kann 7.5 sek aufnehmen und im Vocoder wiedergeben, es gibt 16 Phrasen die man im Speicher halten kann. Es gibt ein 16step Seq pro Timbre (nicht 3 wie beim Radias)

SOUND cool for DnB Basses, FX and club sounds.. not as "rough" as it's predecessor, but..
SOUND Clubsounds, DnB, Bässe und Effekte, guter Allrounder, klingt aber nicht mehr so "british", rauh wie der Vorgänger
