ABOUT one slot of the nord modular in a smaller case. A DSP Synth, also works without computer (even for parameter change), the only thing you need it for is to edit/create a new patch via a second MIDI port. The number of voices will be reduced depending on the patch complexity. max 4 voices, in fact it will be almost 1 or 2 voiced..
ABOUT Eine kleine Version (ein Slot) des Nord Modular. Ein DSP Synthesizer, der auch ohne Computer einsetzbar ist. Patches werden im Gerät gespeichert und ausgeführt, nur das editieren eines Patches benötigt einen Rechner (via zweiter Midi-Schnittstelle gesteuert). Ändern der Parameter sind ohne Rechner kein Problem. Die Stimmenzahl (1-4) variiert mit Komplexität des Patches. Ist bei den meisten Patches letzlich monophon oder zweistimmig..

DETAILS hat verschiedenste OSC, ENV und LFO-Typen, daher offen. Patches sind so einfach zu erstellen wie auf einem klassischen Modular, auch das "look and feel" ist gleich. Alle Parameter können dann von aussen gesteuert und verändert werden (Display und Regler), parametermorphing. Soft: OS 9 und Win (XP), es gibt eine inoffizielle alpha-version für OS X ,die auch funktioniert.

VERSION gibts als Rack und einen Slot (1-4 stimmig) als kleinen Micromodular. letzte OS Version: 3.03 (kein Witz). der micromodular ist nicht erweiterbar.

Swedish company by Hans Nordelius who often lended the "NORDelius" to their machines. inventors of the virtual analogue term and technology / idea. they advertized for their first synthesizer with "no samples". they also built/build drum modules and even other things like organs and stage instruments but their real innovation was the nord modular and G2, the first full digital modular with really easy building of patches on screen. the first of it's kind was the only one on the market for a very long time.

THE MANUFACTURER
Hans NORDelius ist Chef und Namensspender für die meisten Instrumente, die oft im typischen Ferrarirot angeboten werden. Warben sie noch für den ersten virtuell-analogen Synthesizer mit "no samples"-Schildern und setzten damit eine Welle von VAs aus, so boten sie auch den extrem innovativen digitalen Modularsynthesizer lange als einizige an. Bedienung und Speicherbarkeit war neu und ist lange lange ohne eine ernsthafte Konkurrenz ausgekommen.
